Paper Pumpkin: Wildflower Wishes

Wednesday, February 21, 2018
Hey stampers!  Today I am so excited to be showing off the February 2018 Paper Pumpkin kit!!  For some reason there was an issue with my postal carrier this past week, plus with Monday being a holiday, my kit was delayed and delivered late yesterday afternoon.  I have already been seeing some cute creations and couldn't wait to tear into the box myself.

This month's kit is called Wildflower Wishes.  I love the name!!  When I first opened up the box this sweet little reminder was on top.

Let this be YOUR reminder to subscribe to Paper Pumpkin by March 10th to receive the special 5th anniversary Paper Pumpkin kit!!  Not only is it going to come in a special box but there will also be a free gift!  Since I was one of the winners of the Red Box Challenge I am one of 10 lucky stampers that will receive their kit early.  I cannot WAIT to see what Stampin' Up! has in store!!  I will include a link at the bottom of this post and you can always message me (in the sidebar) if you have any questions.

Take a look at what's inside the February 2018 kit:

We've been having a ton of rain and flooding the past few day so when I saw the beautiful bright flowers my spirit was instantly uplifted.  I wanted to make all three of the sample cards but I've had a horrible migraine since last week, which has severely limited how much I do, but I was able to put a quick thank you card together.

I always follow along with the YouTube video that Stampin' Up makes every month, so my sample might look a little different than the one pictured on the cover of the kit.  I also like tweaking the little details to make the cards more my own.

I have never been a fan of Garden Green (I'm more of an Old Olive gal myself) but after stamping the sentiment on the vellum (which I LOVE) and on the patterned paper I could see myself converting!  It's a gorgeous color!

I have been seeing this technique that's been used on the main sentiment a lot lately and just love it.  Having the bright patterned paper peeking through gives just enough pop of flowers and bright, beautiful colors to the mainly monochromatic card.  I also love the shape of the thank you panel itself and that twine with the vellum leaves is the perfect accent.

This card is subtle yet beautiful.  I simply adore it!  I would've never though this color combo would work but it really does!

I have some alternative ideas for this kit that I will hopefully be able to post in the coming week.  The stamp set is wonderful and I really love the embellishments in this kit.  If I can get rid of this stinkin' migraine I'll be so much better! :)

Don't forget if you sign up for the the 3-month prepaid Paper Pumpkin subscription that your order will be eligible for Sale-A-Bration!!

Paper Pumpkin Red Box Challenge 2018

Tuesday, January 30, 2018
I have had a rough few weeks and am not feeling the greatest but I had to pop on here really quick and show off my entry for the Paper Pumpkin Red Box Challenge!  Stampin' Up issued a wonderful challenge: to create an alternative creation using a past Paper Pumpkin kit.  Since I have quite the collection of kits that are unfinished I decided to grab one of my favorites, which is the July 2017 kit entitled Positively Picturesque.

When I first saw this kit I thought it would go perfectly with the Up & Away Thinlit dies and it totally does!  The little cloud stamp included in the kit makes the perfect background for my little hot air balloon.  Everything that you see in included with the kit with the exception of the Pear Pizzazz hot air balloon, Real Red heart, and the Smoky Slate Gingham ribbon.

Today was the last day to enter the challenge so I barely got my entry in but I'm so happy I did.  I am also happy to report that you can still purchase the July 2017 Positively Picturesque Paper Pumpkin kit if you are a current Paper Pumpkin subscriber.  If you're not that is easy to remedy!  Just follow THIS LINK to subscribe.  It only takes a few minutes and you'll receive the February kit which will be shipping February 10th!

Since we are in Sale-A-Bration you can earn free product when you sign up for a Paper Pumpkin prepaid subscription!  Click HERE for all the details!

If anyone else played along with the Red Box Challenge please leave a comment below with the link to your creations.  I would love to see them!

Have a blessed day and happy stamping!

Paper Pumpkin: Pining for Plaid

Friday, October 20, 2017
Hello stampers!

I cannot believe it's been TWO whole months since I've posted anything!  Back to school hit me hard this year guys.  Anyone feel me?  I have one child in band and football and another child in orchestra as well as church groups, clubs, and going back to work after having the summer off!  Add all that to the normal day to day activities and you've got one exhausted mama!

That's what I love about Paper Pumpkin! It's the perfect project for those of us that have zero time to stamp..

This month's Paper Pumpkin is one that I have been looking forward to for awhile.  Both the October and November kits are coordinating and I was so excited to see part one!

When I went to get the mail yesterday I just happened to have my phone in my hand so when I opened the mailbox (and squealed with delight) I just had to take a picture of how the box looked in my mailbox.

Let me just say, I am a sucker for plaid!  Usually if the box is different than the normal Paper Pumpkin box it means that it coordinates with the project.  I couldn't get inside fast enough to see what this months' project is!  Pining for Plaid sounds intriguing...

It's Christmas in October!!  It is a gorgeous set of shaker cards!  It has been awhile since I've done a shaker card so that's awesome and then there is that beautiful plaid.

Cherry Cobbler is one of my favorite Stampin' Up! colors and take a look at those stamps!  I am in LOVE with the font and the sentiments are classics!  It's such a wonderful set!

If you would like to see how easy this kit is to put together check out this video from Stampin' Up!

And if you're not a Paper Pumpkin subscriber yet what are you waiting for???  You can JOIN THE FUN and have next month's kit delivered to you after November 10th, just in time for the holidays!  When you subscribe you also have the opportunity to purchase past kits while supplies last so it's never to late to get your Paper Pumpkin on!

Paper Pumpkin: Positively Picturesque

Monday, July 17, 2017
July's Paper Pumpkin kit just arrived!!  This month's kit is called Positively Picturesque and it is hands down my favorite kit since April's kit, A Sara Thing.

Isn't it adorable?!  If you scroll through my blog you will see how much I love hearts and four of the cards in this month's kit has hearts.  *happy dance*  This kit also has TWO ink spots, one of which is one of the new In Colors, Tranquil Tide, which I haven't had a chance to play with yet!!

Don't you just love the fonts used in this kit?!  The sentiments are perfect for multiple occasions and the little suns and cloud are too cute!  I could see using this set for so many other cards and projects.

I think my favorite part of this kit are the colors!  All but one of the colors included in this kit are new In Colors!  Lemon Lime Twist, Powder Pink, Tranquil Tide, and Soft Sky.  Gorgeous color combo!

I also adore the embellishments included in the kit.  The wood words and flowers, grass pieces, and washi tape are so fun!

Normally when I get a Paper Pumpkin kit I look for alternatives I can do with the kit instead of using the projects the kit is intended for, but this month I am keeping the kit as is.  It's too cute to mess with!  If you would like to get your hands on this kit, and are not a current Paper Pumpkin subscriber, email me!  I will be happy to give you all the information you need to get started.

If you'd like to subscribe to Paper Pumpkin, but are unsure how to do it, this video is extremely helpful and walks you through the process step by step.  Don't forget to add me as your demonstrator!

Paper Pumpkin: One in a Melon

Tuesday, June 20, 2017
I have started this summer out sick which is no fun whatsoever.  I hate going to the doctor but I finally threw in the towel and went this morning.  I have a sinus infection which is what I figured.  Since I've had more than four this past year I am now getting put on two daily allergy medications on top of the allergy medications I already take.  If it's going to help me feel better I'm all for it but good gosh!  Anyone else struggling with allergies more this year or is it just me?

One bright spot in my sick haze was the arrival of this month's Paper Pumpkin!  There is nothing like opening up my mail box to see this...

I couldn't wait to tear into it and was even more excited when I saw the stamps and the two fun and summery colors included in this month's kit: Melon Mambo and Emerald Envy.

I haven't had a chance to work with Emerald Envy so that got a squeal from me (which was quickly followed by a cough!) and I could already tell there was going to be something summery and fun inside.

Say hello to One in a Melon!  Isn't it adorable?! The little watermelon bags are what really steal my heart with this kit.  I also love the sentiment that you stamp on the front of the envelopes.  I love to decorate envelopes when I have the time and this sentiment is perfect!

Here you can see the entire kit laid out.  The fun, bright colors are a perfect kit to kickstart summer and I cannot get enough of that watermelon tissue paper!  So fun!

I haven't had a chance to put anything together yet but I'm already thinking about ways to alternate this kit and what I'm going to put inside those adorable watermelon bags.  What else am I supposed to do when I'm laid up right?! ;)

Paper Pumpkin: Perfect When You're In A Pinch

Tuesday, May 23, 2017
I hate to admit this but I have been in a creative rut these past few months.  I'm not sure what my deal has been!  I will sit down to create something, and instead of a finished product I leave the card or project halfway finished on my desk.  So frustrating!
Where do you go when you need a quick card and you have ZERO mojo?  Paper Pumpkin

I am SO in love with April's Paper Pumpkin kit!  The watercoloring is so much fun and I love the bright and bold colors!  Since my creativity is on vacation right now I stayed true to the kit design for this card but I colored the watercolor heart all pink with a few hints of purple.

The flower embellishments are gorgeous but I wanted to add a little more bling so I used some silver metallic sequins from another kit in the centers to really make them pop.

My May Paper Pumpkin kit came last week and I haven't had a chance to get it out and play yet but I'm hoping it might help spark something.  Do you ever have those creative rut times or is it just me?  This month has been so crazy busy but that's what I love about Paper Pumpkin!  It's all right there for you and it takes all the "thinking" out of the equation!

Check out this SWEET Paper Pumpkin promotion!!

If you've never subscribed to Paper Pumpkin before now is the time!!  Anyone that subscribes to Paper Pumpkin between now and June 10th and enters the promo code "STARTHERE" will get 25% off their first three months!!  You can't beat this deal!  Sign up today! :)
